Good News!

We all need some good news these days, don't we? Well, I just received some GREAT news tonight and I hope you'll join me in celebration.

Mrs. Wit told her sister about our intention to split up. Sister-in-law told Mrs. Wit that she still wants me in her life and in the lives of her children. She followed up with a phone call to tell me herself.

Well, I don't mind saying that I cried a little. This was one of the things that I was going to really be heartbroken about. I'm their Uncle Paul, their jUncle Gym! And I've known my sister-in-law since she was in eighth grade. We are such good friends. I would have missed her terribly.

It couldn't be so if Mrs. Wit was not okay with it, though, so I am truly fortunate. In case you've never noticed, I've never said that I hate her or I am mad at her or anything like that. We just both have our reasons to go our separate ways.

Good news in a bad time.

Oh, Bug. This is fabulous news!! The best. Divorce doesn't always have to be hateful. I know it's painful, though. I've been there. I wish I could come to where you are and give you a big, comforting hug.

That is wonderful news! I could tell from your pic post how much they meant to you - sounds like it's an amicable separation.

Dear Bugwit,
I am very happy to hear this! Amicable. What a wonderful way to go through life!

((((HUG)))) Bug, that is GREAT news. I actually lost my SIL due to my situation which was quite sad because she was like the sister I never had. It's really a shame that people feel they have to take sides, I have never done that.

Lynn: Yeah, even though it's amicable, it will still be painful.
Thanks for the hug. :-)

Chickybabe: Yeah, it's going well, if such a think can be said. And my niece and nephew do mean a lot to me. I'm the nephew's Godfather. Wonder how that will work out?

Thank you Tania. (((Tania)))
I don't dole out many hugs, girl, but I really wanted to give you one.

Molly: It could be so much worse.

ChickyP: I've lost a lot of friends that way. I guess the family member doesn't want to make their blood relative jealous.

No picture of MI? :-)

Gosh, can you imagine going back to the dating scene?

So now you have a number... have you called yet?

Bugwit said...

Missy: MI might be visible if you look hard enough.

The prospect of dating is both exciting and scary, I have to say. The only thing that comforts me is that I see tons of women who are single and complaining that they can't find a decent guy.

No... I haven't called yet...*looks down and kicks the dirt*

I'm nervous.

Good news indeed, Bug.

I'll drink to that, and to your future happiness.

Cheers, my friend.

Tania: :D Thanks, babe!

You, too, Lynn.

Winters: I'll drink to that. Or anything else you got. :-)

So fantastically cool!

I going to put my hair in pigtails for you but I know it wouldn't be the same.

That is good news :) In my situation, I'm certain I'll lose contact with everyone including the neices... since the shunning has already started. But I'm so glad that isn't happening to you.

And of course I wouldn't expect to hear hatred from you regarding the Mrs. Sometimes you do things like this because of the love... not because of the hate. Not that it makes the decision any easier... quite the contrary.

I wish you the best, Bug.

Bugwit said...

Jess: Thank you. And um, no pigtails, please.

Val: Since I don;t have kids, I calue my neice and nephew very much, I assume you feel the same. It would be very hard to never see them again.

I wish you the best, too. Hope you;ll be happier soon.
